Bob Marley and the Wailers - Kaya (1978)
Home > Music > Bob Marley and the Wailers > Kaya

No other Bob Marley album has caused such divided opinion as Kaya. The tracks on Kaya focus on love and smoking ganja and there are no political tracks. Many Marley fans see this as being a weak and commercially minded album. Many others believe the tracks on Kaya show Marley in a more laid-back relaxed mood, highlighting Marley's well rounded song writing ability. It is interesting to note that these tracks were all recorded during the sessions for Exodus, with political songs being selected for Exodus and the easy-going tracks selected for Kaya.
