Manning's School - Hendon Circle, Savanna-la-mar

At Hendon Circle in the North End of Town is Manning's School The funds for this school were donated by a wealthy Westmoreland Planter, Thomas Manning. The school was conceived in 1711 when Manning bequeathed a gift of land, slaves and cattle for the establishment of a school. It wasn't until 1739 that the school was established.
