Roots Bamboo is a beach resort located on Negril's famous seven mile white sand beach. Many visitors have left their mark on the bar by making pictures showing their names and home countries. These pictures are proudly displayed around the bar.
Roots Bamboo is owned by Teddy Plummer and his family.
Parties
This is a popular nightspot in Negril with regular live entertainment such as reggae concerts. Veteran dancehall act Yellowman regularly performs here. Wednesday nights is a popular night at Roots Bamboo, parties are held in the bar and are usually free to enter from the beach.
Food
There's a Jamaican restaurant that offers a selection of International and Caribbean cuisine. A good selection of sandwiches are on the menu at lunch time.
Rooms
The resort features twenty six cabins close to the beach. The cabins and rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. Some of the cabins have private showers while others share a communal shower block with campers. The reasonable prices of the cabins make Roots Bamboo a good budget option.
