Miss Sonia's is a long-established café in Negril, filling a niche for gourmet hand-made patties.
Miss Sonia's patties are all made to order from freshly made dough. The range of fillings includes lobster, shrimp, crab, goat and ackee as well as the standard patty fillings of chicken and beef. The patties are extra large so one is usually enough for a meal.
A Jamaicanised version of pizzas are also served at Miss Sonia's which use the patty pastry as a base with cheese and your choice of topping grilled on top.
This is not a fast-food establishment like Juicy Patties or Tastee Patties so don't expect to pick up some quick patties "to go". However, if you want to spend some time sitting down and enjoying a freshly made patty with your choice of filling then Miss Sonia's is the place for you. Many visitors have reported striking up a good relationship with Miss Sonia and her sons Elton and Richard and make a point of visiting Miss Sonia's each time they come to Negril.
