Mi Yard is Negril's famous after-hours bar. The bar is open for food, drinks and entertainment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. It is the hottest spot in Negril in the early hours when it is usually full of revellers from parties, stageshows and sessions along the coast. It is also a great choice for early risers looking for some breakfast at the break of dawn.
Mi Yard also has its own parties, with an outdoor stage set up for live music. Live concerts happen twice a week, usually on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Mi Yard also hosts sets from selectors (DJs) and crab racing nights.
Mi Yard also has a good reputation for traditional Jamaican food. Jamaican dishes such as ackee and saltfish, escoveitched fish, curried goat and jerk chicken, served with yam, bananas, callaloo and plantain. The curried goat is particularly well regarded, having been declared the "Best on the North Coast" by the Jamaica Gleaner newspaper.
Mi Yard has always embraced the use of technology in entertainment and has been broadcasting live stageshows worldwide over the internet since 1999. There are also several internet terminals inside Mi Yard, making it a 24/7 internet café as well as a bar, restaurant, nightclub and after hours club. Work is currently underway to install solar panels and to set up a system which captures rain water to water the gardens.
Mi Yard has an indoor bar and restaurant, housed in an elevated colonial style wooden building. There is also a large front yard which has tables, chairs and an outdoor stage.
