Barrett House - Falmouth

Barrett House was built in 1799 and was home to Edward Barrett, one of the founding fathers of Falmouth. The house is now owned by the Methodist Church.

There are plans by the Georgian Society of Jamaica to renovate the property. Support has also been pledged by developers looking to establish Falmouth as a cultural tourism destination. Renovation efforts were frustrated in 1997 when a hurricane took the roof off the building. The house has further deteriorated since then.
