The Native is situated on the "inland" side of Gloucester Avenue, offering open air dining on a large sheltered terrace. The menu features most of the classic traditional Jamaican dishes, including an impressive platter of all of the Jamaican favourites. The native also offers a range of seafood dishes and a selection of innovative chicken dishes, featuring the likes of "Coconut encrusted chicken with cinnamon banana".

The restaurant is tastefully decorated with a smattering of African and Caribbean themed decorations adorning the walls. The service is friendly and attentive.
