Bamboo crockery and wood carvings by "Mice" - Montego Bay Craft Market

"Mice" aka "Baldhead" runs a store in the middle of the craft market making wooden carvings and mugs from bamboo.

Mice cuts the mugs from bamboo, carves and paints designs right in the middle of the market. He has a range of his own designs and can also do custom pieces. When we visited he was making a batch of mugs for a local bar. The bamboo mugs are know to keep drinks cold and it is said that if you hold the mug to your ear you can "hear the fridge working".

As well as making mugs from bamboo, Mice also carves rainsticks (canes), bibles and picture frames from lignum vitae wood.
