The Court House, Black River   The Court House, Black River

The Black River Court House - Main Street, Black River

It's hard to miss the Court House, an impressive example of Georgian architecture with a grand white columned facade facing the turquoise blue of the Caribbean Sea. The history of the Black River courthouse is a little unclear, it is unknown when the building was constructed. The building was originally a social hub of the town, serving as the Town Hall. Concerts, dances and plays were all held here.

The building is now a hub for official business as it houses the Courts and the Parish Council offices.
