Amnesia nightclub is one of the most popular nightspots in Ocho Rios. Amnesia is open Wednesday to Sunday night and specialises in Jamaican dancehall music, however, one night a week (usually Sundays) is oldies night, playing reggae sounds from the 70s and 80s. Live bands and celebrity deejays quite regularly appear at Amnesia.

The club offers an edgier alternative to the more tourist-friendly Margaritaville. Amnesia is certainly not the grittiest nightclub in Ocho Rios (the grittier clubs can be found on James Street) but these tend to be a little rougher around the edges. Inside the club there are 2 dance floors and an open-air patio terrace, a range of food vendors usually congregate outside of Amnesia selling tasty post-club meals.

The clientele of Amnesia are mostly Jamaican and the club has a good reputation among the local community. Amnesia has been going strong since 1989.
