The most unique shopping mall in Jamaica (and perhaps the world) is the Village of St George in Port Antonio. The mall was built as a tribute to European architecture and features interior and exterior sections of Georgian, Gothic, Tudor and Art Deco architectural styles. Walking through the centre is like taking a fairytale walk through centuries of European history whilst being within earshot of the Caribbean Sea lapping against the shore.

The Village of St. George was built between 1995 and 1997 and was commissioned by Mrs Fahmi, the owner of the Jamaica Place Hotel. In its heyday the Village of St George was home to several upscale boutiques, a cafe and a nightclub. Nowadays the complex features high-street style shops such as bookshops, stationers and clothes stores.
