Search-Me-Heart is a small guest house in the Drapers area of Portland. The intimate resort has more of a homely feel than larger hotels and guest houses in the area, consisting of three guest rooms, a dining area, tv lounge and a large outdoor veranda, set amidst a lush tropical garden. Your hosts, Rosanna Trifogli and Vernon "Yellow Culture" Sewell pride themselves on treating visitors like personal guests rather than anonymous customers. All rooms have fans and hot water.

Things to do

Search-Me-Heart is located a ten minute drive from Port Antonio (to the West) and San San (to the East) offering easy access to all of the attractions in and around Port Antonio. Rosanna and Culture are happy to arrange tours to local attractions. If you don't feel like exploring the area, there is a cove nearby which offers snorkelling opportunities or you can relax around the veranda and gardens of the property.

The property is set amid lush gardens featuring mango, ackee, breadfruit, soursop and lime trees and a wide range of Jamaican flowers and herbs. Culture is on hand to give a guided tour of the gardens, explaining the culinary and medicinal uses of each of them.

Food and drink

Home cooked breakfasts and dinners are served at Search-Me-Heart (both Jamaican and Italian cuisine are available). The guest house is also located a short walk from Woody's (serving burgers and hotdogs) or a short drive to other local options such as San San Tropez, Mille Fleurs, Jamaica Palace or any other restaurants in Port Antonio.
