The Main Square - Junction of West Street, Harbour Street and Fort George StreetThe main square in Port Antonio is effectively the town centre and is found at the junction of West Street, Harbour Street and Fort George Street. Occasionally, concerts and talent competitions are held on a temporary stage on the square.
One of the main features on the square is the Port Antonio Court House. The stone and brick Court House was built in 1895, on a commission from the Colonial Secretary. The iron columns supporting the second floor veranda were imported from William McFarlane and Company in Scotland.
The building houses the Parish Courthouse, Parish Council and Post Office.
The main square also features the clock tower.
