Fish Tea recipe

Ingredients

Fish Tea - Ingredients 2lb whole fish
 2 litres of water
 4 green bananas
 1 hot pepper (ideally scotch bonnet)
 4 scallion
 5 Sprigs thyme
 2 cloves of garlic
 2 potatoes
 1 teaspoon salt
 1 teaspoon black pepper

Cooking

Fish Tea - Washing the fish Wash the fish in water and lemon or lime juice










Fish Tea - Scaling the fish If the fish has scales remove them by running a knife against the grain of the scales














Fish Tea - Boiling the fish Bring the water to the boil, add the fish then simmer for half an hour










Fish Tea - Chopping the vegetables Chop the banana, potato, garlic and scallion.










Fish Tea - Straining the fish After half an hour of simmering, strain the fish out of the water.










Fish Tea - Cooking vegetables Add the green banana, potato, scallion, garlic, pepper (unchopped) salt and black pepper to the fish stock










Fish Tea - Sifting the fish When the fish has cooled, seperate the bones from the flesh














Fish Tea - Adding fish back to the stock Add the fish to the stock and simmer for half an hour.










Serving

Fish Tea - Serve in a bowl! Serve in a bowl!
