Cream of Pumpkin Soup

Ingredients

Cream of Pumpkin Soup - Ingredients 1lb of Pumpkin
 2 cups of milk
 2 tablespoons of flour
 1 teaspoon of salt
 1 teaspoon of black pepper
 2 tablespoons of butter
 1 onion





Cooking

Cream of Pumpkin Soup - Chopping the pumpkin Chop the pumpkin in to managable pieces










Cream of Pumpkin Soup - Boiling the pumpkin Boil the pumkin until tender - this should take about 20 minutes










Cream of Pumpkin Soup - Liquidising the pumpkin Liquidise the pumpkin in a blender














Cream of Pumpkin Soup - Frying the onions in butter Melt the butter in a saucepan and fry the onions










Cream of Pumpkin Soup - Adding Flour, salt, pepper and milk Add the flour, salt and pepper to the pan and stir.










Cream of Pumpkin Soup - Adding Flour, salt, pepper and milk Slowly stir in the milk, adding a little at a time.
 If you add the milk too quickly it will not mix properly
 The mixture will be ready once it is thick enough to coat your stirring spoon








Cream of Pumpkin Soup - Adding the pumpkkin Add the liquidized pumpkin and stir in to the mix.
 Keep the pan on the hob until the soup is hot, stirring all the while










Serving

Cream of Pumpkin Soup - Serving Serve in a bowl.
